CECAFA Kagame Cup: St. George demolish Ports FC 7-0, Saladin scores 5 goals
Morogoro, Tanzania – St. George FC of Ethiopia demolish Ports FC of Djibouti 7-0 in Group C match here today to qualify for the quarter finals of the CECAFA Kagame Clubs Cup, reported SuperSport.
According to the report, Saladin Said was the star of the match scoring 5 goals. The other two goals were scored by Anthony Bongole and Samson Mulugetta, the team’s captain.
It was Anthony, the Ugandan import, who opened the score for the Saints 27 minutes into the game. Saladin then added two goals five minutes apart to give his team a 3-0 lead at half-time.
Three minutes after the start of the second half, Samson Mulugeta converted a penalty kick for a foul committed on Saladin.
Saladin seems to have a field day as he scored 3 more goals (57’, 63’and 84’).
St. George’s Group C results:
Vs Ulinzi of Kenya 1-1
APR of Rwanda 3-1
Ports FC of Djibouti 7-0
So, after 3 matches, St. George has 7 points and 9 clear goals, the same as Ulinzi, but the latter has a game in hand with APR of Rwanda.  The outcome of this match will determine who will top the group.
