Ethiopian Soccer: Hawassa City to face Dedebit FC in season opener
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The 2010/11 Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) season will kick off this Sunday here in the capital and five other cities in the country.ÂÂ
Defending Champion St. George FC and Dedebit FC, who will play in the Ethiopian Super Cup final this Saturday, are given a bye this weekend and will play their season openers on Wednesday.ÂÂ
The big match of the first week will undoubtedly be the Dedebit FC vs Hawassa City encounter in Addis Ababa on Wednesday. Dedebit FC finished runner-up and Hawassa City finished fourth in last year’s EPL competition.ÂÂ
Lideta Nyala and Fincha Sugar, the two newly promoted teams will face each other on Sunday here.
