Ethiopia Athletics: Kenenisa Bekele vows to return to track

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia- World & Olympic 5,000 & 10,000m champion Kenenisa Bekele, who has been sidelined from major running competitions due to injury, said in an interview with Ethiopian Television & Radio that he will return to track competition once he fully recovers.

“I sustained a muscle injury after the Berlin World Athletics Championships and that’s what kept me away from major competitions”, Kenenisa said.

“I have been nursing my injury and with God’s help, I hope to be healthy again and resume competing”, he noted.
