Schedule Change: Ethiopia vs Ivory Coast semi-final match moved to Friday
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – According to the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) communiqué, the semi-final match that was to take place here today between the Ethiopian national football team and the Ivory Coast has been postponed and is now moved for tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 10), wrote the weekly Addis Ababa based sport newspaper, InterSport on its FaceBook page.
There was no explanation as to why the game was moved.
Meanwhile, Tanzania reached the semi-final stage after defeating Rwanda 1-0, while Uganda had to overcome a penalty shootout (5-3) with Zanzibar, after the two teams finished 2-2 in regulation time.
The losers of the two matches are supposed to play for 3rd place on Saturday and the winners in the final on Sunday.
Considering how difficult it will be for a team to play two matches in two days, the 3rd place match should also be moved for Sunday. Whether it will or not, we don’t know.
