Ethiopia Football: Defence Force defeats CBE 4-2 to go on top
Addis Ababa- Defence Force defeated CBE, formerly known as Ethiopian Banks SC, 4-2 to go on top of the Ethiopian Premier League (EPL), ahead of Ethiopian Coffee. However, the lead could be temporarily as the latter could take it back tomorrow if it wins its match against arch rival St. George tomorrow.
The former Ethiopian Banks SC is now under a new management, and the club has been renamed Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Sports Association (CBE SA for short). This was the second defeat for the club this season.
Oumed Oukri and Bedasso Hora scored two goals each, bringing Oumed’s tally for the season to 5 goals.
Meanwhile, Trans Ethiopia scored one goal in each half to beat the visiting Lideta Nyala 2-0 in Adigrat. Esunendalew and Eyob scored the goals.
