Ethiopia Athletics: Imane Merga wins BOclassic 10k

Bolzano, Italy – Imane Merga of Ethiopia edged Mo Farah of the UK to win the Boclassic men 10k run here.

In the women’s 5km run, defending champion Sule Utura narrowly missed the chance to repeat her victory of last year as she lost to Vivian Cheruiyot of Kenya by 01 second.

Imane, who won two Diamond League 5000m races this year and finished fourth at the IAAF World Championships in 2009, won the race in a sprint finish, clocking 28.32.6, with Farah coming in close second.
