Ethiopia Football: Defence demolishes Fincha 8-1, Lideta Nyala shocks Ethiopian Coffee 2-1
Addis Ababa – Defence Force demolished Fincha Sugar 8-1 and Lideta Nyala shocked Ethiopian Coffee 2-1 here today, according to Ermias Amare’s FaceBook Page.
Meanwhile, Sidama Coffee scored its first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over Dire Dawa City.
The win lifted Defence Force to be in the driver seat. Oumed Oukri continues to enjoy a brilliant season with a hat-trick, Bedasso Hora scored a couple, Chala Deriba, Messay and Tilahun Wolde getting a piece each.
In a match that saw EPL leading goal scorer Mulu-Alem Tilahun of Ethiopian Coffee and Mekonnen Negussie of Lideta Nyala red carded for handball, the score was 0-0 until the 78th minute. Samuel Taye scored for Coffee and Lideta responded with two late goals from Endale Terefe and Tafesse Solomon.
Lideta Nyala moved up 4 notches to fourth place.
