Ethiopia Football: St. George defeats Harar Brewery 2-1
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) defending champions St. George FC moved up two notches (11th) in the league table with a 2-1 victory over Harar Brewery here today wrote the weekly Amharic sports newspaper InterSport on its FaceBook page.
Although the victory is a welcoming sign for St. George fans, the team is still lagging behind the league leaders Defence Force and Ethiopian Coffee by 11 pts and 8 pts respectively.
While the majority of the EPL teams have now played a total of 11 matches each, Dedebit and Adama City have one match in hand.
The league has not yet announced when the two sides are going to meet.
Adama City FC is still mourning the death of two of its club members and 8 of their players are still nursing the injuries they’ve suffered following their bus crash in Tigray region earlier this month.
