Ethiopian Premier League: Sidama Coffee & Harar Brewery victorious
Sebeta – Sidama Coffee climbed four spots (5th place) with a 2-1 victory over home side Sebeta City, Harar Brewery edged Mugher Cement 1-0, while last placed Fincha Sugar continues its winless season after it was held to a 2-2 draw by Commercial Banks at home, reported Ermias Amare.
Former St. George striker Binyam Assefa scored Sebeta’s consolation goal, giving him 9 goal for the season.
Harar’s victory was also monumental as the club climbed five spots to 7th place.
Unlike in the past where the top teams will be so far ahead of the rest of the group, the current season seems to be a little bit compacted, thus making it very interesting.
It is true that some teams have played fewer games than others and the situation could easily be reversed. Nevertheless, the fact that 8 teams (4th to 12th) are separated by just three points keeps all teams on their toes.
