African Cup of Nations Qualifier: Nigeria vs Ethiopia
It’s the FIFA international week and SuperSport will be broadcasting a staggering total of sixteen matches live, two featuring Nigeria in their quest for Afcon 2012 qualification.
Live on SS 9 (and SS 4 for international viewers) from 19:30 on Sunday, the Super Eagles hosts the Ethiopian Antelopes in a Group B Afcon qualifier.
Currently level on three points apiece in the standings, head coach Samson Siasia acknowledges that the Super Eagles will need to defeat Ethiopia in convincing fashion on March 27 in order to put pressure on first placed Guinea.
“There are no easy games but this is a match we must win and we also need to do well in this match to put smiles on the faces of our supporters.â€Â
Big names such as Joseph Yobo, John Mikel Obi, Victor Anichebe, Victor Moses, Victor Obinna Nsofor, Taye Taiwo and Osaze Peter Odemwingie as well as the Uche brothers, Kalu and Ikechukwu, are all expected to make the starting line-up.
