Ethiopian Premier League: Hawassa City defeats Adama City 1-0, moves to 3rd place
Yirgalem – Hawassa City moved to 3rd place in the Ethiopian Premier League ranking after defeating Adama City 1-0 here yesterday.
Ashenafi Adem scored the lone goal of the match.
The victory helped the southern team to overtake Dedebit FC and sit just 4 points behind Ethiopia Coffee.
The first round competition will conclude after Adama City plays its last remaining match against league leader, Defence Force.
A victory over Defence can help Adama City move ahead of Dedebit for fourth place, while a defeat on the other hand, will force them to relinquish their current 6th place ranking to St. George FC.
