Ethiopian Football: St. George defeats Dedebit FC 1-0
Addis Ababa – Defending champions St. George defeated Dedebit FC 1-0 here today in the clash between two of Ethiopian Premier League’s top clubs, reported EthioFootball.com.
Abebaw Butako scored the lone goal 22 minutes into the first half.
With the victory today, St. George has avenged their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Dedebit in the 1st round of the competition back in December.
The two teams have now 33 points in 19 matches each but Dedebit has a better goal difference.
Meanwhile, Dawit Fekadu (50’), Berhanu Bogale (60’) and Behailu Assefa (68’) of Dedebit received yellow cards during the game.
