Ethiopian Coffee faces EEPCO, Defence hosts Trans
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Premier League leader Defence Force will host Trans Ethiopia, Ethiopian Coffee faces EEPCO and Sebeta City clashes with Adama City as Week 20 of the national competition resumes here tomorrow.
How the teams fared in the 1st round
The teams met back in November in Week 5 where Defence Force defeated Trans Ethiopia 2-1 in Adigrat with goals from Wondemeneh Zerihun and Bedasso Hora, with Michael Assefa scoring for the host.
Ethiopian Coffee beat EEPCO 3-1 with Sisay Demissie scoring a hat-trick, while Adama scored a 2-1 victory over Sebeta. Abiy Moges & Girum Tesfaye scored for Adama, with Solomon responding for Sebeta.
Defence will try to maintain their 5-point cushion at the top with another victory, but it will not be that easy as Trans, which is currently languishing at the bottom of the league table, is in a do-or-die situation.
Ethiopian Coffee looks like the clear favorite based on their league standing, but their recent erratic performance leaves their fans on edge.
