Ethiopian Coffee on top of Premier League
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Coffee has taken over the leadership of the Ethiopian Premier League from Defence Force with a 2-0 victory over Hawassa City here today, reported EthioFootball.com.
In a match that saw 4 yellow cards (2 apiece), Medhane Tadesse opened the score for Coffee (61’) and Dawit Moges added a second one minute before the end of regulation time.
Meanwhile, defending champions St. George missed out on a golden opportunity to tie for second place with Defence Force after they were held scoreless by Sidama Coffee. As a result, the Saints dropped to fourth place. Furthermore, Alula Girma of St. George was sent off six minutes before the end of the game.
The St.George vs Sidama Coffee match also produced 4 yellow cards.
Elsewhere, Dedebit FC has climbed one spot to 3rd place with a 3-0 win over Sebeta City in Sebeta.
