Ethiopia Football: Coffee joins Dedebit & Defence at the top with a 2-1 victory over Nyala
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Coffee joined Dedebit FC and Defence Force at the top of the Ethiopian Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Lideta Nyala here today, reported EthioFootball.com.
It was Dawit Stefanos who opened the score for Coffee on 24th minute from the penalty spot. Fourteen minutes later, Mesud Mohammed added a second.
The two teams went to the dressing room with Coffee leading 2-0.
Nine minutes into the second half, Lideta Nyala pulled one back thanks to an own goal by Abdela Shemsu.
So, with 4 weeks to go, Dedebit FC, Defence Force and Ethiopian Coffee have now 49 points each, followed by defending champions St. George (48 points ) and Sidama Coffee (46 pts).
CBE and Hawassa City were also scheduled to play today.
