SPORTS: Air Force earns first point
Harar, Ethiopia’s Newly promoted Ethiopian Air Force Football Club, which lost all of its three previous Premier League matches, earned its first point of the season when it drew 1-1 with Harar Brewery here today, reported the Addis Ababa-based InterSport Newspaper.
A victory would have lifted the Brewery team to the top of the league, where they could have joined current leaders EEPCO and Adama. The draw nevertheless places them now in 3rd place with 6 points from 4 matches.
Meanwhile, Dedebit FC traveled south and shared a valuable point with Sidama Coffee, after the two teams played to a 2-2 draw.
The result helped Dedebit to move up 2 notches and the team currently seats in 7th place, with 4 points in 2 matches.
