Ketera, Eve of Ethiopian Epiphany colorfully celebrated
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia  (ENA) – Ketera, an eve of the Ethiopian Epiphany was colorfully celebrated here on Thursday by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church followers in different parts of the country.
The celebration was colorfully held in particular at Jan-meda where students of Sunday schools, deacons, priests and the faithful dressed in religious attires were gathered.
The celebration of the holy event will continue on Friday colorfully.
Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Abune Paulos on the occasion said Ethiopians are responsible to hand down the age-long and prestigious values from generation to generation.
The patriarch, who is also president of World Council of Churches, urged all Christians to further develop living in peace, tolerance and respect each other.
Thousands of people including tourists, distinguished guests, ambassadors of various countries and dignitaries attended the holiday.
