Dedebit FC beat Ethiopian Coffee 4-2
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Dedebit FC beat defending champion Ethiopian Coffee 4-2 here today to seat in 3rd place behind EEPCO and St. George.
The loss dropped Ethiopian Coffee to 4th place.
Dedebit’s goals came from Getaneh Kebede (3) and Dawit Fekadu.
This was the first game for Dedebit’s new coach Haile-Michael Tesfaye, who replaced former St. George and Ethiopian national team player Gebre-Medhin.
In other matches, Adama City moved in 5th place with a 1-0 win over Defence Force 1-0; Harar Brewery got the best out of their eastern neighbors Dire Dawa City 2-0; Arba Minch won the battle of the bottom of the league table with a 2-1 victory over Ethiopian Air Force; Hawassa City was held to a 1-1 draw by Sidama Coffee and the match featuring Mugher Cement and CBE ended in a scoreless tie.
