Women Soccer: Ethiopia defeats Kenya 5-0

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Ethiopian women national soccer team “Dinkinesh” (Lucy), which has qualified for the final tournament of the 8th African Women Championship, defeated its Kenyan counterpart 5-0 in a friendly match played here yesterday.

Lucy led 3-0 at half-time with two goals coming from Shitaye Sisay and an own goal scored by a Kenyan defender.

Although the Kenyan side played a better football in the second half, Lucy added two more goals through Rehima Zergaw and Shitaye, who scored a hat trick.
