Ethiopia have followed fellow 2013 Group C opponent Zambia’s path and will also play Tanzania and Morocco in pre-Africa Cup friendlies.

Media sources in Addis Ababa told MTNFootball.com that both games are tentatively scheduled to be played in January.

“Ethiopia has secured games against Morocco and Tanzania,” the media source from Addis said.

“But the dates have yet to be confirm although both games are expected to be played before the Africa Cup in January.”

Ethiopia are expected to face Morocco in Johannesburg while Tanzania will host the 1962 champions in Dar-es-Salaam.

Tanzania and Morocco also have confirmed friendly dates against African champions Zambia on December 22 and January 8 in Dar-es-Salaam and Johannesburg respectively.

Ethiopia, who last played at the Africa Cup in 1982, will mark their return on January 21 against Zambia in Nelspruit. Burkina Faso and Nigeria are the other teams in Group C.
