RSL’s Mansally receives 1 game ban for head-butting

NEW YORK – (AP) – Major League Soccer‘s disciplinary committee has suspended Real Salt Lake defender Abdoulie Mansally(Gambia) one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for head-butting D.C. United midfielder Perry Kitchen in the 61st minute of Saturday’s game.
RSL forward Alvaro Saborio was fined for arguing with a referee at the end of the game, a 1-0 win by DC.
In other discipline announced by the league on Thursday, Sporting Kansas City was officially warned because several players confronted an official at the end of their 2-1 loss to Toronto. Future offenses will include fines to the team and coach. Orlando City has won the Commissioner’s Cup the past two years for the best regular-season record in its league. The club will also participate in the U.S. Open Cup, a tournament that Sporting KC won last season.
