EPL: St. George defeats Sidama Coffee 3-1 to move to 3rd place
Defending champions St. George moved up to 3rd place of the Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) with a 3-1 away victory here yesterday.
The Saints’ goals came from Umed Ukuri, Yared Zenabu and an own goal by Erkeyehun. Michael George scored the lone goal for Sidama.
St. George are 13 points behind current leader Dedebit FC but they have 3 matches in hand. Should they win all 3 matches, they can cut down Dedebit’s lead to 4 points, but that remains to be seen.
Getaneh Kebede and Dawit Fekadu of Dedebit lead the goal scoring chart with 23 and 17 goals respectively.
