St. George held to a 2-2 draw

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Defending champions St. George were held to a 2-2 draw by Defence Force here today.

St. George found themselves 2 goals down by half-time after Manaye Fantu (22’) and Tilahun Wolde (43’) scored for Defence Force.

It wasn’t until the last 15 minutes of the match that the defending champions found the back of the net thanks to Umed Ukuri (75’) and Adane Girma (85’).

St. George (40pts) are now 12 points behind current leader Dedebit FC but the latter has played 2 more matches.

The Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) will resume on Tuesday, where 6 matches will be played and one more on Wednesday.
