Ethiopia coach targets 2014 African Nations Championship
Ethiopia coach Sewnet Bishaw is a man on a mission as he seeks to qualify for the 2014 Orange African Nations Cup to be hosted by South Africa.
Bishaw was categorical when his charges beat Rwanda 1-0 in Addis Ababa saying that with proper preparations ahead of the return leg to be played between 26-28th July they were in a better position to qualify for the African show piece.
“With better preparation, I promise that we will beat them Rwanda in their own back yard and we will be through to the finals in South Africa. Having watched them on Sunday I don’t see any big problems but in football you can never underrate your opponents.”
“I think it is important to embark on immediate preparations so that we can go to Rwanda more prepared and ready to any challenges ahead,” Bishaw told supersport.com.
Bishaw has been at the centre of Ethiopia’s success leading them to the 2013 Afcon in South Africa and also being in charge as Ethiopia are on the verge of qualifying for the final round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
