Mohammed Aman wins gold in 800m
Moscow – Mohammed Aman of Ethiopia won a gold medal in the 800m here today in a season best time of 1:43.31.
Nick Symmonds of the United States finished second (1:43.55) with Ayanleh Souleiman of Djibouti coming in third place (1:43.76.
This marks the first time that Ethiopia has won a medal in the 800m in these championships.
Aman’s gold takes Ethiopia’s medal tally to 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
