SaladinSaidEthiopian talisman Salhadin Said was delighted after he helped his side make the playoffs following a 2-1 win over Central African Republic (CAR) in Brazzaville on Saturday.

With top scorer Getaneh Kebede ruled out with injury, the responsibility of leading the attack fell on Salhadin and he responded in style as he scored his first goal for the side since January this year.

“Today is indeed special for me since it was a important match and that goal I scored gave me a lot of motivation especially knowing my friend Getaneh was out injured. We have always dreamed of this great moment but Allah is great our dreams are taking shape.”

“Being a striker is not an easy job especially when everyone is looking up on you to score the important goals. I am glad we qualified for the play offs and I know the hardwork begins now as we don’t know which team we will be paired with in the draws but we are ready for any challenges ahead,” a jovial Salahidin told supersport.com.
