CECAFA 2013: Ethiopia to face Sudan in quarter final
Nairobi, Kenya – The Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia will face Sudan in the quarter-final of this year’s GOtv Cecafa Cup, while Kenya will take on Rwanda.
Ethiopia and Kenya finished on top of Group A with identical points (7 pts) and goal differences (+2), but the former was declared winner after a coin toss here today.
Ethiopia defeated Sudan to qualify for this year’s African Cup of Nations that took place in South Africa.
Meanwhile, Uganda Cranes will face Tanzania’s Kili Stars in the quarter finals after finishing top of group C. The Cranes beat Sudan 1-0 in their final group game played on Thursday at Nyayo stadium to go on nine points — three clear of second placed Sudan.
