US says committed to support Africa’s economic growth
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia –U.S. Secretary of State Penny Pritzker on Saturday reiterated commitment to supporting Africa’s integration into world economy.   Â
“Africa is proving economic success, good story to the world and U.S. aspires to support African economic growth,” Pritzker said at the conclusion her two-day visit to Ethiopia along with Congresswoman Karen Bass.   Â
Describing Ethiopia as “one of the world’s fastest growing economies”, Pritzker said that Washington is committed to helping business in Ethiopia and other African markets.   Â
She said that the International Trade Administration, a wing of the U.S. Department of Commerce, will double its presence in Africa.
“We open new commercial service offices in Morocco, Libya, Angola, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Kenya,” Pritzker said.   Â
“We will endeavor to find partners for American companies, work to navigate regulatory hurdles, and support the development of that will help Africa thrive,” she added.
