Angola defeats Ethiopia 1-0 in Soccer Friendly

Luanda – The Palancas Negras of Angola defeated the Walia Ibex of Ethiopia 1-0 in a soccer friendly played here yesterday.

Freddy scored the lone goal of the match 16 minutes into the first half.

Despite the defeat,  Ethiopia’s Portuguese coach, Mariano Barreto said that he was satisfied by his team performance.

The Walias were without the service of key strikers Saladin Said (Al Ahly, Egypt) and Getaneh Kebede (Bidvest Wits, South Africa), who were not released by their teams.

Upon its return from Luanda, the Ethiopian team will travel to Brazil, where they will play 5 friendly matches with Brazilian club sides.
