St. George to face MC El Eulma in CAF Champions League
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Ethiopia’s Premier League champion St. George left here yesterday to Algeria to face MC El Eulma in CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg match this Saturday.
The return leg match will be played here in two-week time.
The 26-man team delegation (18 players) that left the capital included the two new players – Brian Umoni (Uganda) and Elton Santos (Brazil). However, the team will be without the service of the returning Oumed Oukri, who has yet to secure his international transfer certificate.
St. George’s opponent Mouloudia d’El Eulma (MC El Eulma for short) is a first division side, currently seating in 11th place. It was founded in 1936 in El Eulma, which is located 200 km away from the capital Algiers.
The club’s traditional colors are green and red and its stadium has a 25,000-seat capacity.
