CAF Champions League: St. George lose 1-0 to MC Eulma

El Eulma, Algeria – Premier League champions and Ethiopia‘s representative in the CAF Champions League, St. George FC lost 1-0 to MC Eulma of Algeria in the preliminary round first leg match played here today.

The lone goal of the match was scored by Hamiti after a penalty kick was awarded in the dying minutes of the first-half.

The Saints could avenge today’s defeat and advanced to the next round when the two sides play the return leg match in Bahir Dar by the end of this month.

The 50,000-seat Bahir Dar Stadium will host its first international match and thousands of Saints’ supporters are expected to make the journey north to support their side.
