Running for running water

Blustery snow and cold temperatures on Wednesday couldn’t stop 33-year-old Daren Wendell from doing what he does best — run.
On Jan. 1, 2015, the Ohio native, along with his support team, took off from the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, to begin a 100-day run across the United States to raise $100,000 to provide water for a lifetime for 2,500 people in Borena, Ethiopia.
To make it across the nation in such a short time span Wendell is having to run 26 miles, or a marathon, a day.
