Addis Ababa University Graduates 10,000 Students
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (ENA) – Addis Ababa University (AAU) graduated more than 10,000 students here on Saturday in undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels.
Some 230 of the graduates are PhD, 3, 100 are postgraduate and the remaining 6,400 are undergraduate.
Over 25 percent of the graduates are also females.
This is the first of its kind for an Ethiopian university to graduate over 230 students in PhD level.
Present at the graduation ceremony were high-level government officials, including AAU’s Board Chairman and Speaker of the House of Federation, Kassa Tekleberhan, diplomats and families of the graduates, among others.
