African Women’s U17: Cameroon 2 Ethiopia 1

Yaounde – Cameroon defeated Ethiopia 2-1 here today in the first leg match of the African Women’s U-17 qualifier.

Ethiopia led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a goal by Melat Demeke (37′) but Cameroon responded with a brace from Soli Diana (58′ penalty & 83′).

The two teams will play their second leg match on January 22 in Addis Ababa.
