Walias receive cash prizes

Addis Ababa – The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has awarded cash prizes for the national players who took part in the 2-1 win over Lesotho for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group J math.

Walias head coach Gebremedhin Haile received 25,000 Birr and players received the following cash awards:

a. Starting 11: 20,000 Birr each

b. Substitutes: 17,000 Birr

c. Bench Players: 15,000 Birr

The total cash award was 539,000 Birr.

Surprisingly, there were only 7 players present during the award ceremony.

Walias’ last group match will be against Seychelles Islands in September in Addis Ababa.
