Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon: Shure Demise defends title

Toronto, Canada – Shure Demise of Ethiopia defended her 2015 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon with a victory here today as she finished first in 2:25:41.

The 20-year-old is the first female athlete to win the Toronto Waterfront title back to back. Meanwhile, fellow compatriots Tadelech Bekele fisnished second in 2:26:28 and Ashete Bekere came in fourth place (2:33:15).
