Ugandan trio return to action as St George faces Dedebit in EPL Week Two
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Defending Ethiopian Premier League champions St. George will be away to Dedebit at Addis stadium Sunday, November 20, 2016 in weekend’s biggest fixture.
Both sides were winners in their opening league matches and will be hoping to keep the 100% record.
Dedebit thrashed Ethiopian Coffee 3-0 while St. George walloped Arba Minch by a similar margin.
“Kidus Giorgis” as St. George are known will welcome back Ugandan trio, first choice keeper Robert Odonkara, attacking midfielder Yasser Mugerwa and defender Isaac Isinde from international break, in a major boost for a side already looking strong.
Dedebit’s Getaneh Kebede who scored the first hat-trick of the season will be a player to watch, while Kidus’ sensational youngster Abubaker Sanni and veteran Sahladin Said will be key for the Addis giants.
On Saturday, Defense who lost 2-0 to Wolita Dicha will play host to Ethiopian Coffee at Addis Stadium; the two will be angling for their maiden season’s wins.
Two matches have been postponed indefinitely. Hawassa City have asked for rescheduling of their match against Nigid Bank to allow them mourn their departed keeper who perished in a fire accident Tuesday night.
Fasil Kenema clash against Wolaita Dicha in Gondar has also be frozen due to political unrest.
