Ethiopia Premier League: First victory for Ethio-Electric
Addis Ababa – Ethio-Electric moved up from the bottom of the Ethiopia Premier League with its first victory of the season when it defeated Wolayta Dicha 2-1 here today.
Addis Negash (penalty) and Fitsum Gebremariam scored for Electric while Wolayta’s consolation goal in the 81st minute courtesy of a wonderful free kick from Messay Achisso.
Defending champions Kedus Giorgis were lucky to share a point with Hawassa Kenema as the two teams drew 1-1 in Hawassa.
Dedebit FC and Mekelakeya played a scoreless match in Addis, so did Arba Minch Kenema and Woldia Kenema with Fasil Kenema and Dire Dawa Kenema respectively.
Woldia’s match was held at the newly inaugurated Sheikh Mohammed Al Amoudi’s Stadium.
Ethiopia Bunna secured valuable three points in Jimma as they beat Jimma Abba Bunna 1-0.
