Sapphire Addis Hotel, a new addition to the hospitality industry in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa – Sapphire Addis Hotel is a new addition to the ever growing hospitality industry in Ethiopia.
The hotel, which is located on Namibia Street around Bole Medhanialem Church, took six years to complete
The new hotel is expected to get a five-star status from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, according to Fesseha Abay, owner of Sapphire Addis.
“We have built the project always keeping in mind the standards of five-star hotels,” Fesseha told the English weekly newspaper Fortune .
The Hotel features a collection of 130 rooms comprising deluxe, twin, suite and standard rooms as well as eight fully furnished apartments. It also has two restaurants, three bars, meeting rooms that can hold 500 people and a parking lot for 60 cars.
Sapphire is also expected to give employment opportunities for Ethiopians and internationals numbering between 200 to 230.
Currently, about 1,129 hotels are operating in Ethiopia.
