CHAN Playoff: Ethiopia name 27 Players for Rwanda Encounter on Sunday
Addis Ababa – Coach Ashenafi Girma has named 27 players in preparation of the first leg match against Rwanda for the 2018 CHAN playoff to be held here on Sunday. The two teams will play the return leg match in Kigali, Rwanda on November 12.
Ethiopia‘s appeal to CAF to postpone the match was not successful.
The players are:
Goalkeepers: Jemal Tssew (Dire Dawa Kenema), Le-Alem Berhanu (Kidus Giorgis) and Tarik Getnet (Dedebit)
Defenders: Aschalew Tamene, Salhadin Bergecho (Kidus Giorgis) and Abebaw Butako (all from Kidus Giorgis); Tewodros Bekele (Mekelakeya), Girma Bekele (Ethio-Electric), Desta Yohannes (Hawassa Kenema ) and Henock Adugna (Jimma Abba Jifar)
Midfielders: Mintesenot Adane and MuluAlem Mesfin (Kidus Giorgis); Surafel Dagnachew (Adama Kenema), Mesoud Mohammed and Samson Tilahun (Ethiopian Bunna), Teklu Tesfaye (Ethio-Electric), Firew Solomon (Hawassa Kenema ) and Eshetu Mena (Wolaitta Dicha)
Forwards: Gadissa Mebrate, Abubaker Sani, Salhadin Said and Ame Mohammed (all from Kidus Giorgis); Aschalew Girma (Ethiopian Bunna), Dawa Hutessa (Adama Kenema), Amanuel GebreMichael (Mekele Kenema), Getaneh Kebede (Dedebit) and Min yelu Wondimu (Mekelakeya).
