Ethiopia and Eritrea to play friendly football match
Addis Ababa – Ethiopia and Eritrea will play a friendly football match in Asmara next month, according to a report posted on Soccer Ethiopia here today.
The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF), which recently hired Abraham Mebratu as head coach for the national team, sent an invitation letter to its Eritrean counterpart requesting that the two countries’ national teams play a friendly match in Asmara. The Eritrean Football Federation has accepted the invitation.
The exact date when the match will take place will be determined once the newly hired head coach Abraham Mebratu will return to the nation’s capital from Doha, Qatar.
The Ethiopian national team is also planning to play a friendly match with Sierra Leone soon after.
