2019 AFCON Qualifier: Ethiopia 0 Ghana 2
Addis Ababa – Walias of Ethiopia continue their dismal performance in the 2019 AFCON qualifier as they suffered another defeat here today at the hands of the Black Stars of Ghana.
Striker Jordan Ayew returned to the Black Stars line up and was the hero of the day as he scored both goals for his team.
Jordan fired the Black Stars into an early lead in the 2nd minute of the game and he took the game beyond the Ethiopians when he converted a penalty midway in the first half.
The referee awarded Ghana the penalty after Emmanuel Boateng was brought down, and Jordan calmly slotted in the goal.
In the five games they have played so far, Walias scored just 1 goal, a Getaneh Kebede penalty against sierra Leone, and conceded 10.
Ethiopia one of three countries established African football , today the worst team in Africa defeated team by all except Djibouti and Somalia since the past 40 years , it is shame and forget about Ethiopian football.

I would like to say that ethiopian players has a good performance @ the begining ;but after the first goal is scored they get stressed.they are not tensionaly good.eeem just it’s not so bad.i guess we will pass for 2020 african cup….i’m just joking don’t feel angry.
The Ethiopian national team improved so much, they missed three goals, plus one pnality. For me the Ethiopian goal keeper was not good at all, how he couldn’t catch that ball, it was very weak gaol. Beside this the team improved so much!
I am not saying. That the Ethiopian national team is excellent, but Honestly. Speaking, after the 1st half , the Ethiopian national team which is most of them are home based [ not highly paid profesionals] had shown a beautiful performance, however,the Ghanian national team which is a collation of professional players ,after they score the second goal which is the penalty shot was seen when unable to control the ball, and we saw all of them were playing defensive game.Instead, the Ethiopian national team did well in attacking and missed so many chances, and even they were denied penalty. I would say, good job Ghana for collecting the 3 points, but don’t brag about it.because, the performance was not high class.
I would say, the Ethiopian national team performed better, even if they lost the game
