President Sahle-Work Visits Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, January 25, 2019 – President Sahle-Work Zewde visited the Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia here today.
The President on the occasion said Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is the leading organization that provided medical treatment for more than 60,000 Ethiopians suffering from fistula.
It also contributed a lot for other health institutions by training midwives, the President added.
Dr Catherine Hamlin, founder of the Organization, on the occasion celebrated her 95th birthday.
Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is dedicated to the eradication of obstetric fistulas through its preventative strategy of providing trained midwives in the rural regions of the country.
