Ethiopian Airlines graduates 179 trainees
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Aviation Academy of the Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopia’s flag carrier, here Thursday graduated with diplomas 12 pilots, 125 aviation maintenance technicians and 60 flight hostesses.
Ethiopian CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam on the occasion said the Academy significantly contributed towards success of the national carrier through creating professionals in all fields. Tewolde said Ethiopian has a vision to have 17,000 employees in the year 2025. Most of the employees will be graduates of the Academy. He said activities are underway to further strengthen and expand the Academy as it significantly contributes towards success of Ethiopian.
The late PM Meles Zenawi had considerable support and contribution towards success of the vision of Ethiopian in 2025, the CEO said and stressed the need for employees to exert maximum efforts to realize the vision.
Academy Vice President Samuel Asseffa on his part said the Academy has vital contribution in the efforts to make Ethiopian the most competitive and leading Airline across the globe.
A representative of the graduates on the occasion expressed readiness of the graduates to realize Ethiopian’s vision. Tewolde handed over the diplomas to the graduates and awards to outstanding trainees.
