Ethiopia Football: Defence Force to face EEPCO, Harar Brewery to host Fincha Sugar
Addis Ababa – Defence Force led the Ethiopian Premier League earlier in the season when it won its first 4 matches. Unfortunately, the team’s luck ran out when it collected just 1 point from its next 2 matches. First, it lost 5-3 to Ethiopian Coffee and was then held to a 1-1 draw by the visiting Harar Brewery.
Defence’s fans are hoping that despite missing their midfield dynamo Oumed Oukri and striker Bedasso Hora, who are currently in Tanzania with the national squad, their team could defeat EEPCO tomorrow and overtake Ethiopian Coffee at the top.
This will be a golden opportunity for Defence Force as Ethiopian Coffee dropped 3 valuable points when they were beaten 3-1 by Hawassa City in Yirgalem on Sunday.
Ethiopian Coffee is currently in the lead with 14 points (7 matches) with Defence, who have one game in hand, trailing one point behind.
Meanwhile, Harar Brewery, whose stadium has been suspended by the EFF for its poor quality playing field, will host Fincha Sugar.
