Ethiopia Football: St. George to face Harar Brewery
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) defending champions St. George FC will face Harar Brewery here tomorrow.
St. George is currently seating in 13th place, with Harar Brewery just one spot better after 10 league matches so far.
Although a victory will only move St. George just two spots up to 11th, a draw or a defeat will be considered a disaster.
The team is currently struggling and has not shown any of the forms that made it invincible the previous years.
The arrival of Coach Giuseppe Dossena of Italy was supposed to give the team a much needed boost in terms of expertise and experience, but it hasn’t happened yet. Fans are now questioning whether the team made the right decision in hiring Dossena as they do not see the Italian as being the right person for the job.
The team has only won 2 of its 10 matches, and scoring just 8 goals. That’s an average of 0.8 goal per match, a stat that the club shares with Fincha Sugar, the last placed team in the EPL.
