Ethiopia Premier League: Sula Matovu of Uganda joins St. George on Loan
Kampala, Uganda – Uganda Cranes’ left winger Sula Matovu, who is nicknamed “Maloudaâ€Â, after the French star player of Chelsea, has joined Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) side St. George FC on a 6-month loan, reported the Ugandan newspaper, the Monitor.
Matovu, who played for Proline FC is joined by two other Ugandan players, goalkeeper Robert Odon (URA) and defender Isaac Isinde (Victors). The trio were members of the Uganda Cranes squad that finished third in the Council for East and Central Football Associations (CECAFA) Senior Challenge Cup in Tanzania last year.
All three players were issued International Transfer Certificates (ITC’s) from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa).

Odongkara and Isinde, who passed their trials, were given two-year contracts. The club, handled by new Italian coach Giuseppe Dossena, paid $20,000 (333,680 Ethiopian Birr) for the pair who are expected to get $2,000 per month (33,368 Ethiopian Birr) each.
