Nike introduces soccer cleat with Flyknit woven upper

Beaverton, Oregon – Nike on Thursday unveiled a pair of soccer cleats with uppers crafted of woven thread, a major product introduction that represents the Oregon footwear and apparel company’s latest product splash in the run-up to this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

Nike’s Magista uses the company’s Flyknit technology for the first time in one of its soccer shoes. FC Barcelona player Andrés Iniesta introduced the shoe in Spain on Thursday.
