Dedebit FC eliminated from Confederation Cup after 1-1 draw with Haras El Hodood
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Dedebit FC was eliminated from the Orange Confederation Cup competition, after it was held to 1-1 draw by Haras El Hodood of Egypt here today, wrote Ermias Amare on his FaceBook page.
The Egyptians advanced to the next round on a 5-1 aggregate score, having defeated Dedebit 4-0 in Alexandria two weeks ago.
It was Dedebit, who opened the score just 2 minutes into the game thanks to Dawit Fekadu, and the Egyptians equalized through Ahmed Abdul-Ghani five minutes in injury time.
According to Ermias’report, Dedebit wasted 4-5 easy chances and the Egyptians were successful in containing Dedebit.
Coach Gebre-Medhin replaced Tadele Mengesha, Getaneh Kebede and Mulugeta Semret with Efrem Zeru, Addis Hintsa and Temesgen Tekle respectively, but to no avail.
