Electric & Dedebit victorious as Premier League kicks off
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Electric and Dedebit FC kicked off the new Ethiopian Premier League season with victories over Mekelakeya (1-0) and Welayita Dicha (2-1) respectively here today.
Peter Nwadeke scored 40 minutes into the first half to help Electric collect three valuable points.
In the second match, Samson Tilahun of Dedebit scored from a free kick just ten minutes into the game and the visitor had to wait for the second half to score an equalizer thanks to a penalty kick converted by Haileyesus Berhanu (65′).
Samuel Sanumi scored the winning goal for Dedebit (80′) from the penalty spot.
